It doesn't take a zillion t-shirts to create a meaningful memory quilt. This sweet gift for a grandma was made using just 3 tiny shirts and an infant hat. Five years ago these clothes were gifts from grandma to baby. Now that he is entering kindergarten, the family asked me to use them to create a special keepsake for her. This quilted wall hanging is the result. On the back is a personalized quilt label made by transferring the boy's handwriting with embroidery. There is a great article that just came out in NY Metro Parents listing "16 Unique Gifts for Kids All Made in NYC." I'm so thrilled that my quilts made the cut being described as "most nostalgic gift." There are a ton of other amazing local artisans featured. If you have a minute take a look at them.
